Supplier policy
Mountain Horse manufactures its products in many different places throughout the world. We have worked together with several of our partners since Mountain Horse began. We have stringent rules as regards all the factories with which we work. These rules guarantee that the people who make our products are treated properly.
Prior to any collaboration with a new factory, we make it our policy to visit the site in person to inspect and carefully assess its working conditions and environmental impact. When entering a partnership with a new manufacturer, we require that manufacturer to:
• Comply with the legislation and regulations applicable to our industry
• Not use child labour or any form of compelled labour
• Provide a safe and healthy work environment for its employees
• Permit unannounced inspections
Simply signing a contract is not sufficient. We regularly visit the sites personally to check that our requirements are being met. We do so because we believe in this, both as a company and as individuals. We are convinced that this is the best way of achieving good business morale and making top-quality products.
